One example is when More testifies before an inquiry committee and Norfolk attempts to persuade him to sign an oath of allegiance: http://www.9113.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1696845 "Kingdom of Heaven" Sought to Be an Epic Film, But Became a Disaster in Production
Therein is why I gave this film an average rating rather than a good or excellent rating.  I wanted real substance in this film that I could relate to in my everyday life, and I was left wanting. http://www.315wen.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=26062 A Man for All Seasons does not deviate from the truth of Sir Thomas More's stance, and as such provides a role model for acting with right thinking and right motives, even at the cost of one's life.
When More proves himself to be loyal to King Henry VIII by not speaking out against him and also shows himself to be a loyal subject by not inciting rebellion, Cromwell appears to prosecute Sir Thomas out of personal spite. http://bbs.u9u98.cn/home.php?mod=space&uid=33104 Of course on our HDÐV it looks as smashing as it possibly can but it gives you a idea of how diminutive the World truly is but at the same instance when it talks about some of the`environments it feels that the world is very massive.
Miss Congeniality - 2 Stars (Average) http://www.xorx.org/home.php?mod=space&uid=38135 Ninth, this whole project was sad from start to finish. What could have become a good film could not overcome the obstacles along the way. Two bright spots in the film were the performances of Liam Neeson as Godfrey de Ibelin and Ghassan Massoud as Saladin, the great Muslim leader.
Ultimately, both characters are seeking meaning in their lives. http://www.ty5d.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=7514 Miss Congeniality - 2 Stars (Average)
Seeing this film, I would not have guessed it would have won so many awards. http://yl.tmtuang.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=147064 They develop an unlikely friendship when the language barrier, Japanese culture and their own discontent surfaces.  When it is time for them to resume their normal lives, leaving becomes difficult.
How odd is it that Bob and Charlotte never introduce themselves to each other despite spending days together contemplating their mutual miserable situations?  This makes no sense to me whatsoever, and does not ring true in real life. http://www3.hnxw.net/home.php?mod=space&uid=36533 Great effort is made to convince More to change his stance on Henry VIII's action.  One of More's rivals, Thomas Cromwell (Leo McKern); another religious, Cardinal Wolsey (Orson Welles); and The Duke of Norfolk (Nigel Davenport) all take their turns at More.
I give Sofia Coppola a lot of credit for not writing into the script a sexual relationship between the two.  In Hollywood this would be like taking the financier's money and not worshipping at his or her feet. http://www.yonsub.cn/bbs/home.php?mod=space&uid=90440 When you are watching PlanUt Earth you may get to an envirOnment that they begin to speak about that upright looks unknown`to you. Some of the things that are in the surroundings look as¨if it was not realistic and you
Henry VIII subsequently dies of syphilis, and the evil Thomas Cromwell who orchestrates Sir Thomas More's tragic demise is himself judged a traitor to England 5 years later and is also beheaded. http://www.liuzongfeng.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=22355&do=blog&quickforward=1&id=34425 There are several lines by More that merit mention but there is not enough space to do so.  Here is one of the best: "I think that when statesmen forsake their own private conscience for the sake of their public duties, they lead their country by a short route to chaos."
The opening of the film has a lingering shot of Scarlett Johansson (as Charlotte) lying in bed sideways in her panties.  Johansson was apparently reluctant to film the shot until Sofia Coppola modeled the panties herself. http://www.olgv.com.cn/home.php?mod=space&uid=18590 Eighth, the sound in the film was terrible. There were times when it was impossible to understand the dialog and, without this essential element, there is no way the film would be rated good by my standards. Sound is too basic of a need to succeed and, when it goes unnoticed because it is well done, it is not an issue.
